There comes a time in every business where you just can’t do it all. You’re hitting your income goals, you’re onboarding new clients, you’re knocking it out of the park – and all of a sudden, it becomes humanly impossible to do all the tasks you need to get done. For some business owners, it’s hard to say goodbye to the money you’d be paying someone to outsource those tasks to, but when people come to this point, it’s often necessary. As a business consultant, I help clients figure out when they’ve reached this point. Many times, once they’ve bitten the financial bullet and found someone to take on these tasks, their business grows even more, as they now have more time to grow it! Here are the most common reasons why clients begin to outsource:

They know they need it but they’re not experts: It’s tough to DIY something as important as SEO. Sure, you’re a smart business owner and you could probably figure it out… but do you really want to spend a huge amount of time figuring out a new skill like this when you could be running your biz? Or would it be better to outsource it to an SEO expert who can handle it for you? Remember, time is money, What could possibly take you 4-6 hours to learn and do, and expert could do most likely do it in half the time with double the results. So wouldn’t you rather spend those hours working on what your an expert on?

They need to do due diligence but don’t have the time: If your business has expanded and grown and you have a ton of income coming in – Congrats! But you might find it tough to keep on top of your books, making it super stressful when the quarter ends or tax time comes. Hiring Kpi Bookkeeping & Consulting to track their income and expenses every month is often a weight off my clients’ shoulders since they can clearly see their financials without having to actually fight through the mess and wondering if you are doing them correctly.. Having a higher income coming in is great but if you also have higher of expenses and are not managing those expenses then that large income doesn’t really matter.

They’re wasting time answering the same questions: often, customers email with the same questions over and over again – even if the answers are on your website. “How much…?” “How do…?” “Can you..?” If you’re spending the spending the time answering the same questions over and over again, it can become a major time-suck. Hiring a qualified Virtual Assistant or setting up a really great CRM is the perfect way to outsource these tedious but important tasks.

It’s exciting when your business starts growing, but can also be overwhelming. If you need help figuring out if it’s time to outsource, send me an email if you’d like to schedule a consultation! Have questions? Email me those, too!
